The King of Country has still got it.
George Strait is one of the biggest stars in the history of country music. In 2026, he’s just as popular as he was back in 1981, when he released his debut album, Strait Country. Now, over 45 years later, with 30 platinum or multi-platinum records and 60 #1 singles to his name, he’s one of the most accomplished country singers of all time.
And he’s still got his patented charm and good looks.
You see, Strait has always been considered conventionally attractive, but he’s now known as a “silver fox.” He’s 74-years-old-young, and more often than not, the ladies are still swooning over him. It wasn’t too long ago that social media fell in love with him all over again thanks to a concert video from one of his performances in Austin, Texas. That’s happening all over again thanks to a new Wrangler jean commercial featuring the “Amarillo By Morning” singer.
Strait and Wrangler have been together for over 30 years. The country icon even has his own “George Strait Collection,” and that’s what this latest ad spot is showcasing. However… it’s not the jeans that a lot of fans are paying attention to. But before we get to more on that, make sure to check it out:
“You know how to spot an original? They never change who they are, or what they stand for.”
This is the part where fans of his say something like, “He’s aging like fine wine.”
We actually don’t have to imagine what George Strait Fan Club thinks about this video. All we have to do is head down to the replies and the comment section. It’s there where fans are hardly realizing that the country singer is trying to sell jeans.
They are more impressed by his genes (no, not a reference to the Sydney Sweeney jean campaign), and can’t get over how good the King of Country looks in his mid-70s:
