Gotta respect this guy for following through on his fantasy football league rules.
When you sign up for your fantasy football league full of friends or family (or both), you aren’t trying to win. You are just trying to not lose. Especially if there’s a last place punishment involved. It typically doesn’t get more humiliating than having one random draft day in August determine the next couple months of your life, and ultimately lead you to a last place punishment.
We’ve seen some incredibly creative fantasy football loser penalties in the past couple of years. Probably none more crazy than a guy having to spend 24 hours in a Waffle House, and being able to knock an hour off with every waffle that he ate. As the saying goes, if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen (don’t play fantasy football if you can’t handle the last place punishment).
Which brings us to a last place fantasy football punishment that is currently going viral online.
It appears that one fantasy football league decided to delay their last place punishment until the summertime of this year, and for good reason. The 10-team league sent out their 10th place (dead last) finisher out to trick-or-treat in June, and the video of it has since garnered a lot of attention on social media.
The parameters of the punishment? The last place finisher had to dress up as a wizard (looks like Harry Potter to me) and get at least 10 pieces of candy. When you watch the video below, you’ll see that the requirements of the punishment stretched to really any item that people were willing to part with… since a lot of people don’t keep trick-or-treat candy at the ready in the dead of the summer.

That right there is the kind of punishment that I can get behind. It’s funny, it’s entertaining, and it’s most definitely humiliating. From what we can tell, everyone that answered the knock on their door had a good attitude about the mid-summer trick-or-treating. And it appears that the last place trick-or-treater couldn’t say that he was fulfilling a last place punishment.
Which makes sense… that’d be an easy way out of it, and would give those who opened their door to a wizard more understanding of the situation. It looks like he followed the guidelines of the last place punishment to a tee, and those on social media absolutely loved everything about it:
