Like walking into a Bass Pro Shop.

Tony Stewart is a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and an avid outdoorsman.

Smoke retired from full-time Cup Series racing in 2016, but he still keeps himself busy with his NHRA drag racing team, along with his wife and fellow racer Leah Pruett. After his wife announced in 2024 that she was pregnant with their first child, Tony took over her seat and was named 2024 NHRA Rookie of the Year, winning his first race in the series this past year in Las Vegas.

Honestly though, I’m not sure why Tony would ever want to leave his house after he retired.

Of course most people would probably get bored just sitting around the house all day (especially if you’re like Tony and retired in your mid-40s). But after seeing Tony’s house, it’s hard to ever imagine getting bored in this place.

In 2022, Realtor.com interviewed Stewart about the home after it was named the most expensive home in Indiana, appraised at the time for $30 million. And calling it a “home” seems like an understatement when you get a look at this place: Hidden Hollow Ranch, described as a “rustic luxury” home, is a massive pine cabin with six bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms, a bowling alley, golf simulator…and an 8,400 gallon aquarium.

A lot of people have compared the house to a Bass Pro Shop with the aquarium, stream, and wooden features throughout the living room. And it turns out, there’s a good reason it reminds people of the outdoors store.

During an appearance today on the Barstool Sports podcast Mostly Sports, Stewart revealed that the aquarium was actually installed by the same team that builds the aquariums at Bass Pro Shop:

“I had no idea how big this house was going to be. When it actually was built I was like, ‘Holy crap, what am I going to do?’ But one of the cool things about it … that’s an 8,400 gallon fish tank and a 1,500 gallon stream that that bridge goes over.

Johnny Morris from Bass Pro Shop is a really, really good friend of mine, and I remember being at a Cup race and I went to Johnny and I said, ‘Hey, we’re building this log home. What do you think about putting a smaller version of the fish tanks that are in the stores in there?’

So Johnny’s group actually did the aquarium and the stream in the house.”

In addition to bringing the outdoors inside his home, the 19,714-square-foot house is surrounded by a woodsy view of the ranch’s 415 acres.

Stewart bought the property in 2004 and completed building the home in 2011.

“This is truly my dream home. We enjoyed every square inch of the land here. This became my place to get away and relax with my family and friends. The best part is that there is always something to do here. The land is great for hunting and fishing, off-roading, or just sitting on the porch and enjoying the stars at night.

It is the perfect blend of entertainment and relaxation.”

The retired driver had listed the home for sale back in 2022, initially listing it for $30 million before dropping the price to $19.5 million. It was eventually taken off the market last year, and it appears Stewart plans to stay in the insane home for a while now.

I mean, if it were me, I don’t think I would ever leave.
