Back at the top.

Despite there being major breakouts across the board throughout 2025, primarily from the likes of Zach Top, Ella Langley, The Red Clay Strays, Treaty Oak Revival and more, there’s simply no denying that 2025 was the year of Morgan Wallen yet again. While there’s no denying he’s been nothing short of a powerhouse since the start of the decade, namely scoring huge numbers from the likes of Dangerous: The Double Album and namely One Thing At A Time, which contained 2023’s top song of the year, “Last Night,” among other massive hits, 2025 has proven to be his best year to date.

Last month, Wallen topped a number of different year-end lists. Beyond his placement as iHeart Radio’s Top Country Artist of 2025, he also scored the most-listened-to album on Apple Music globally, the #1 most-listened-to album in the U.S. on Spotify and became the second male country artist in history to be named Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year, beating out the likes of Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny and more.

Additionally, Wallen made even more history in December. He etched his name in the history book on the 16th by not only becoming the highest-selling country artist of all time according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) but also the third-highest-selling artist in history, all-genre. Receiving a mind-blowing 80 new certifications, Wallen has now sold over 240 million units in his career, third only to global superstars Taylor Swift (247.5 million) and Drake (331.5 million).

Despite the incredible success of I’m The Problem throughout 2025, it’s been quite a while since it topped the charts. Of course, this is thanks to the massive success of Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which has spent 12 non-consecutive weeks at #1 atop Billboard’s all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart since its release on October 3rd.

Though it seemed like Swift would ride out the success of her recent mammoth record for a few more weeks, I’m The Problem has officially returned to #1 this week, selling a healthy 85,000 equivalent album units last week. With this week’s placement atop the Billboard 200, Wallen has now spent 13 non-consecutive weeks at #1 with the album. More amazingly, I’m The Problem has reclaimed the top spot nearly eight months after its release on May 16th.

With 13 weeks at #1, I’m The Problem still needs an additional 7 weeks to pass Wallen’s longest-running #1 on the all-genre album chart, 2023’s One Thing At A Time, which spent an incredible 19 non-consecutive weeks at the top spot. However, it’ll be a tough task to top fellow country superstar, Zach Bryan, who’s challenging the #1 spot with his brand-new album, With Heaven On Top, this week.

Thanks to an additional week at #1, Wallen sits alone as the artist with the seventh-most weeks atop the Billboard 200 in history with a total of 42, above the likes of legends such as Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Prince and more.

  1. The Beatles (132 weeks)
  2. Taylor Swift (98 weeks)
  3. Elvis Presley (67 weeks)
  4. Garth Brooks (52 weeks)
  5. Michael Jackson (51 weeks)
  6. The Kingston Trio (46 weeks)
  7. Whitney Houston (46 weeks)
  8. Morgan Wallen (42 weeks)
  9. Adele (40 weeks)
  10. Elton John (39 weeks)
