The month-long custody battle is done.

Earlier this year, Post Malone was making headlines when he and his ex-fiancée, who was previously out of the public eye but has now been identified as Hee Sung “Jamie” Park. During their time together, Malone often spoke very positively about her to the media, though they kept their relationship extremely private. Malone and Park welcomed a baby girl into the world in 2022, and she inspired his song “Yours.”

“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad.”

He told TMZ when he announced their pregnancy. Fans were sad to hear the relationship had ended, and Post and Jamie quietly split at the end of 2024. It was relatively surprising given what he had recently said about her during his Call Her Daddy appearance:

“I could tell … her heart is so massive. I’ve always wanted kids and a big family. And I could tell she was going to be a really good mama. And she’s, like, No. 1 mom in the f**king universe.”

While it’s not known when the two called it quits, Malone moved on very quickly with Christy Lee, a fashion student from New York. While Malone and Lee were spotted out and about in  Paris and Idaho dive bars, Park was at home raising their child, leading her to file for full custody of their two-year-old.

TMZ reported that Park filed court documents in Los Angeles in April seeking primary physical custody of their daughter, who was identified as DDP in the papers. In those documents, Park checked boxes indicating that she is okay with sharing custody (if not awarded full custody) and with allowing Malone visitation, also known as “parenting time.”

In the documents, Park also said that their daughter has been living with her since November 2024, which aligns with their split at the end of that year. Park also wants Malone to cover her legal fees. As for child support, Page Six reports that the section states:

“The court may make orders for support of the children and issue an earnings work without further notice to either party.”

InTouch Weekly reported that Park hired a process server to track Post down ahead of his second weekend headlining Coachella to serve him with papers regarding their custody battle, where they say:

“[He] was personally handed the paperwork inside a parking garage at a luxury apartment building Friday at 1 p.m. — just two days before his performance. The rapper-turned-country crooner’s show still went off without a hitch despite the legal drama.”

Not great timing to get those papers before one of the biggest sets of your career…

Although Christy Lee and Malone have also called it quits since Park filed for custody, the well-being of their child is the most important thing, and at the end of the day, that is what a custody agreement is there for.

And according to TMZ, the couple reached an agreement on custody, visitation rights, and child support for their 3-year-old daughter last week. However, the records detailing their agreement have been sealed, so the public cannot see the exact terms.

While it’s still heartbreaking to think that Malone and the woman he once spoke so fondly of are done and will not be expanding their family, it’s nice to know that their daughter will be taken care of and that an agreement was reached.

Before you go, fire up the tender song that Malone wrote for his daughter.
