Ella Langley has a lot to celebrate as of late… including a reported romantic relationship with fellow country music artist, Tucker Wetmore.
That’s right. Arguably the biggest artist in the country music world right now – Ella Langley – is allegedly off the market. Did you hear that? That’s the sound of all of the “Ella Fellas” out there shaking their fists at the sky, all because Tucker Wetmore and the “Be Her” singer are officially an item, according to TMZ.
Sources have told the outlet that Langley and Wetmore have actually been dating for quite some time, and that they are enjoying each other’s company. As to how they became a couple, TMZ says that it was both the music industry and mutual friends that helped orchestrate the beginnings of their relationship:
“The ‘Choosin’ Texas” singer and Tucker met through the music industry and mutual friends, and their relationship has been going on well before they were spotted together Tuesday night in Nashville.”
Wetmore and Langley were out and about together in Nashville for the 9th Annual Nashville Songwriter Awards at Ryman Auditorium. They left together after the event, which at one point honored Ella’s record-breaking run. Her hit song, “Choosin’ Texas,” just reached its 23rd straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and now holds the record for longest consecutive weeks at the top of the chart (dethroning Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”)
And interestingly enough, it’s not like this past Tuesday night was the first time Langley and Wetmore were spotted together.
It was actually in December of 2025 that the two country singers were spotted together in St. Barth. Fans speculated that they were in the same tropical location based on some Instagram stories and other social media content that both artists had posted, and those speculations were confirmed to be true when they were actually spotted together at the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands.

So it sounds like there’s a great chance that Ella and Tucker have been together for almost a year… considering that speculation came at the end of 2025. Heck, they might have gotten together around the same time that Langley released “Choosin’ Texas,” which was in October of last year.
Of course, this generally wouldn’t be very newsworthy, but after all, Ella has the biggest song in the country right now, just broke Mariah’s record, has caught the attention of Drake, and is probably the biggest star in the format right now. And with all the rumors about Riley Green and her dating life over the last year or so, it might be nice for fans to finally put the speculation to bed and place the sole focus on her music.
Regardless, it’s been a heck of a run for Ella Langley in every aspect of life since the calendar flipped from 2025 to 2026. Congrats to country music’s newest power couple… allegedly.
Ella Langley Makes U.S. History
In what seems like one of the greatest success stories in country music history, Ella Langley’s rise to all-genre superstardom has been one to behold over the past two years.
you’ve been paying close attention within the genre over the years, it was more than apparent that the Alabama native was bound to be a star, catching early buzz with tracks like “Country Boy’s Dream Girl,” “paint the town blue” and “That’s Why We Fight” with Koe Wetzel.
With that being said, however, I don’t think anyone could have predicted the world-dominating, record-smashing success she’s had recently.
Launching off the success of her Riley Green collaboration, “you look like you love me” throughout 2024 and 2025, as well as other hits such as “weren’t for the wind,” the Alabama native has become nothing short of a phenomenon thanks to the megahit that is “Choosin’ Texas,” And, in turn, she has captured the hearts of nearly everyone in the country and the world over the past year.
Today, “Choosin’ Texas” officially stands alone as the longest-running #1 hit in U.S. history with 23 weeks, passing Mariah Carey’s long-standing record of 22 atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with her and “Choosin’ Texas’” success, I’ll give you a brief rundown of its accomplishments over the past 11 months.
Since its release on October 17th, it is now the longest-running #1 hit by a female artist this century, the only country song by a woman to triple up and go #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot Country and Country Airplay charts simultaneously.
In case that wasn’t enough, thanks to the success of her sophomore album, Dandelion, which debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and sold 169,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week, Langley became just the second woman in history to hold the #1 album and song in the U.S. simultaneously with a country song/album.
The two months have been particularly historic for Langley and the smash hit. With “Choosin’ Texas” spending its 15th and 16th weeks at #1, it became the longest-running #1 hit by a female artist this century.
She helped the genre make history when only country songs made up the Top 5 on the Hot 100 last week, including the likes of Morgan Wallen’s brand-new single, “Been By Now,” Taylor Swift’s return to country music, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from Toy Story 5, Langley and Wallen’s collaboration, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” and Stella Lefty’s controversial viral hit, “Boston.”
Fresh off scoring a staggering NINE nominations at the upcoming 60th annual CMA Awards, becoming the first female artist this decade to capture four Top 10 hits with a single album and tying Carey’s aforementioned record last week, this morning, Langley and “Choosin’ Texas” officially spent its 23rd week at #1, garnering 21.8 million official streams, 58.3 million airplays on radio and 6,000 units sold.
Per usual, Langley continues to dominate other Billboard charts as well. This week, the track also topped Streaming Songs (23rd week), Digital Songs Sales (18th week) and Hot Country Songs (41st week), which is now just the third song ever to cross the 40-week threshold along with Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” (50 weeks) and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (45 weeks).
Her 18th week at #1 on Digital Songs Sales is particularly historic. Now, “Choosin’ Texas” is tied with K-pop superstars, BTS, on both “Dynamite” and “Butter” for the longest-running #1 on that chart as well.
As of this morning, “Choosin’ Texas” is projected to extend its lead and remain at #1 for its 24th week by more than 70 points. In case that wasn’t enough, some chart forecasters on X (formerly Twitter), such as Talk of the Charts, project the track may hit as many as 26 weeks atop the Hot 100.
