The next best thing to being there.
Morgan Wallen continued his massive I’m The Problem stadium tour in Santa Clara, California last night for the first of two shows at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. And while one young fan wasn’t there in person, he still got a pretty special memory from the show.
A video posted to TikTok shows Morgan finishing up a song and walking back up the stage, before something in the crowd catches his attention. As he walks over to the fans, he grabs a phone that’s being held up by a mom who’s got her 10-year-old son on FaceTime.
Morgan then takes a minute on stage to talk to the little guy, and while we can’t hear exactly what was said, you can see that he says “what’s up buddy” before exchanging a few words and handing the phone back to mom.
@lauren_and_jack5 Unreal experience. Thank you @morganwallen 🩵#morganwallen #morganwallenconcert
The mom even shared a photo of the kid’s reaction during the call, and as you can see tell, he was pretty excited.
It was a nice interaction to see, especially given the behavior of some fans at some of Morgan’s recent shows.
Last Saturday, Morgan performed at Lumen Field in Seattle, and several videos went viral showing fans getting kicked out before the concert even started.
@sadee.muniz Morgan Wallen concert in Seattle had some excitement. I just want to know what he did😂 #imtheproblemtour2025 #morganwallen #Seattle #fypシ

And while walking through the crowd towards the B-stage at the back of the house, Morgan didn’t seem too happy after a fan grabbed on to him as he was walking by:

The incidents come on the heels of his two shows at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, when he was apparently so frustrated by the crowd’s behavior on the first night that he told the night two crowd that he wasn’t sure if he ever wanted to come back:
“I didn’t know if I was ever gonna come back to Arizona after that crowd last night. But I think tonight you guys might change my mind.”
@xoxo__jordynn who upset my man last night? #imtheproblemtour #morganwallen #glendaleaz #cowgirl #statefarmstadium
That was all he said about it, and there weren’t any viral videos that showed any major incidents or anything that would have prompted a reaction like that. So the comments obviously left everybody wondering what happened during the first night that would have left such a bad taste in Morgan’s mouth.
But some fans later posted videos from different moments throughout the show that clearly caused some frustration, and in one video, you can see Morgan appear to get annoyed while performing “TN” as he kicks something to the side that apparently had been thrown onstage:
@mom2kam_ella Looking through the videos I recorded from the #morganwallen concert in #arizona and noticing him getting PO during TN. Night 1 why’d you have to ruin it and make AZ look bad? #concert #imtheproblem #dobetter ♬ original sound – Becca Major
Yet another video shows a fan grabbing Morgan as he made his way through the crowd to go to a stage at the back of the stadium, prompting an angry reaction from the country music superstar:

And in another video, you can see an altercation apparently breaking out in the crowd right in front of Morgan, with security gathering around a group of fans:
@ken.rileyy Why can’t people just be respectful?! Like really?! Throwing stuff and flipping someone off right in front of Morgan. Not cool. #morganwallen #glendale #arizona ♬ original sound – Kenny
Luckily it seems like things went a little better last night in California – especially for one lucky fan who wasn’t even there.
