Zac Brown Band apparently supports the artificial intelligence movement.
The country music group (?) has made headlines as of late, and this latest reason is one that they probably would have rather avoided. But before we get to that, I do have to catch you up on why Zac Brown and his aptly named Zac Brown Band have been in the news.
Most notably, the band wiped their social media feeds and sent out somewhat of a cryptic message. They weren’t announcing their retirement, or a band breakup. Rather, it was a very public “closing of a chapter” that garnered a lot of attention to the band, and what they might do next.
Here it is in case you missed it:
“There’s no way to sum up what the last chapter has meant to us… We’ve played thousands of shows, crossed countless state lines, and seen every kind of weather and welcome you could imagine. Whether you saw us when we were playing covers in Georgia dive bars or you just found us on your drive home last month… You’ve been a part of this journey.
You’ve sung the words, screamed the choruses, cried with us, danced with us, and let this music into your life. That kind of connection is not lost on us. It never will be. From every hand we shook, every sign we saw in the crowd, every voice lifted back to us from the front row to the lawn, we felt your love. And we gave it right back, night after night. This isn’t goodbye. It’s a thank you. A reflection. The next chapter? It’s the biggest one yet. We’ll see you there.”
That was posted around a week ago.
No one knew what the Georgia-founded band had up their sleeve, and many were wondering if the closing of a chapter meant they’d go away for a while. Judging by today’s post from the Zac Brown Band, that’s not the case. They’ve got a new album coming out later this year titled Love & Fear, and that is apparently what this whole “next chapter” thing was about.
They’ve even got a brand new song coming out this Friday, as they mentioned in the caption of their post:
“Two sides of the same truth. New album ‘Love & Fear’ 12.05.25. New single ‘Let It Run’ featuring Snoop Dogg out this Friday.”
Did you get a chance to scroll over and see the art for the “Let It Run” single with Zac Brown Band and Snoop Dogg? Even if you did, let’s take a closer look at it, shall we?
The single art shows Zac Brown and Snoop Dogg both on horseback, with both artists sporting their signature looks. Zac Brown has a big ol’ hat on, and Snoop Dogg is in sunglasses… smoking one of the biggest blunts the world has ever seen.
Here’s a snapshot of it:

Notice anything else?
I’ll give you a hint… human hands traditionally have four fingers and one thumb on each hand. It appears that Zac Brown has a staggering six fingers on his left hand, and that’s not even counting the thumb that is out of sight in the “art.” Guess I don’t have to call it art now, since it’s clearly an AI-generated image.
And that’s clearly six fingers on Zac Brown’s left hand:

Artificial intelligence is getting pretty damn good at generating images nowadays, but it can still fall short when it comes to the small details. One of the things it still struggles mightily with is fingers… for some reason.
And there are a couple of other dead giveaways with the image, and they have to do with Snoop Dogg on horseback. As I mentioned earlier, that blunt that he’s got fired up is almost the size of a baseball bat. I’m also no expert on the “Devil’s Lettuce,” but the smoke typically comes off the end of the generally anything you smoke… not the middle.
The most important detail with Snoop Dogg though? It looks like his body just morphs right into the horse that he’s riding. Once it get lower than his torso, Snoop appears to just be a part of the horse, like he’s some sort of twisted, marijuana-smoking centaur:

Now to be clear, is it a crime to use artificial intelligence to create art? I actually don’t know the answer to that question. There’s a bit of a moral conundrum there, especially since AI typically steals from actual artists to conjure up it’s own imaging. But at the end of the day, you just don’t expect a group like the Zac Brown Band to cut corners with something like this. An artist somewhere out there could have easily – and more expertly – created an image of Zac Brown and Snoop Dogg riding horseback.
At the very least, they would have made sure to get the right amount of fingers, and made sure to not turn a legendary rapper into a mythical creature. Unless that’s what the Zac Brown Band wanted?
