A video that makes you feel good on a Monday.

There is something so sweet about an older couple or an older man and woman having their regular spot they like to dine at. In their retired state of life, having a routine is so important, and these citizens often look forward to their weekly or bi-weekly visits to this spot. The establishment’s team often gossips with these customers and becomes friends with them, not just a hostess or a waitress.

A Waffle House in Madison, Georgia, is going viral right now for welcoming one of these beloved regulars into the restaurant. The video, posted one day ago, shows three Waffle House employees racing to the car of an elderly man, rejoicing that he is coming to visit them. According to the woman who posted the tender moment, the employees shared that this man was one of their regulars who had not visited them in a while, and they were filled with joy to see him.

“Caught the purest interaction on video EVER! At Waffle House in Madison, GA, you guys are the sweetest. After talking to some of the waitresses, this was one of their regulars who they haven’t seen in a while. I literally teared up.”

The three women rushed to his car to welcome and help him enter the restaurant. One of the video’s sweetest moments was everyone holding hands as they walked across the parking lot. Even though he might have only needed assistance from one of the women, all three walked across the parking lot hand in hand, amplifying how special this customer is to all of these employees.

This video amplifies why some refer to Waffle House as Waffle Home.

After the video began to gain traction on social media, this man’s granddaughter saw the footage and shared that he had to take some time away from his Waffle House visits to take care of his wife, but is now back to eating the All-Star Special at this location again.

“This is my sweet grandpa. He & my grandmother always frequented here! She’s moved into a home now, but I’m glad to see he’s back & feeling all the love.”

Who’s cutting onions in here? That’s so sweet.

This was just the start of the comments left on this post. Before you go, check out a few of my other favorites.

“This is a Waffle Home.”

“New Waffle House interview question: ‘Can you fight? Can you love?”

“My grandma is 93. They have her picture up in our local Waffle House. She eats there at least once a week. They gave her a Waffle House mug with her name on it one year for her birthday.”

“HE GOT ALL DRESSED UP.”

“It’s so worrisome when a regular doesn’t come in for a while (especially if they are older). I understand running to meet him outside completely.”

“A waitress at Waffle House bought my son a Christmas gift one year because he often went with his dad. There are some fantastic humans at WF.”

“My great-grandfather went to Waffle House so much he had 5 of their mugs and they sent a giant bouquet to his funeral, ‘from his Waffle House family.'”

“This needs to be a commercial ad for Waffle House/Home!”

“Ok, I’m sobbing now.”

“As someone in the service industry. We worry about our regulars when we don’t see them.”

“At Waffle House, we are either family or we are fighting.”

“This is the type of America I like.”

Man, Waffle House employees are a rare breed. Where else are you gonna find someone who will walk in your grandpa from the parking lot in the morning, and then throw hands with belligerent customers at night. It’s one of one.
