Luke Combs Teams Up With Good Charlotte For Performance Of “The Anthem” At Stagecoach

Shake it once that’s fine…

Over the past weekend, Luke Combs headlined the massive Stagecoach festival in Indio, California, which included surprise performances with the Backstreet Boys, Garth Brooks and even pop punk band, Good Charlotte.

Joel and Benji Madden came out to sing Luke’s original “Where the Wild Things Are,” in addition to their hit “The Anthem,” which was featured on their 2002 The Young and the Hopeless album. The originally wrote the song for a film soundtrack alongside John Feldmann, but it didn’t ever appear in the movie, and it has since been certified Gold in the United States.

If you were into rock or listened grew up in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, bands like Good Charlotte probably shaped your music taste similar to mine, and so it’s really cool to hear the song in 2025 with a little twang courtesy of Luke Combs.

I haven’t honestly heard it in years, but this was so well done and unexpected… it’s really not super often we hear Luke cover songs outside of the country genre, but of course, he has an amazing voice so I’m not surprised at how good this is:
