Megyn Kelly has entered the chat.
The journalist and host of The Megyn Kelly Show, who is highly respected in the media, is chiming in on Bill Belichick’s relationship. After his interview with CBS Sunday Mornings, it appears the whole world is sharing their thoughts on the relationship, as it gave a very candid look at who wears the pants in the relationship…and it ain’t Belichick.
When interviewer Tony Dokoupil asked how the couple met, Hudson quickly chimed in from off camera to shut it down:
“We’re not talking about this.”
The incredibly awkward moment left the interviewer speechless and sparked a huge conversation on social media, given that the two have previously shared how they met, and it has been widely covered online.
After the interview, it was reported that CBS News executives also had to get involved in the editing process to figure out how to save the segment due to the interruptions and multiple awkward moments caused by Hudson’s interjections. Allegedly, Belichick was supposed to have a second interview with the network, which was canceled due to the nature of the first interview, and because Hudson also reportedly stormed off set, and “expected Bill to follow her.”
Now, Hudson is being accused of “elder abuse” with some CBS executives calling her a “runaway train” and accusing her of inserting him into every aspect of his life. Now, the news has made its way out of the sports world, and nearly every platform imaginable is running stories about how polarizing this moment is.
Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News host, is chiming in, noting that she feels like this situation is giving “Dr. Jill (Biden) vibes.” Last year, the former First Lady was accused of elder abuse for not having her husband, former President Joe Biden, step down from the 2024 presidential race sooner after citizens began to express concern about his mental capacity.
“He gives this interview, and now it’s starting to look much more like a Jill Biden situation. That’s all I could think of you guys. Like she’s like Dr. Jill on the sidelines calling all of the shots and trying to decide what he can answer and what he can’t in this interview.”
Kelly then says that if the situation were reversed and he were on the sidelines, chiming in the same way Hudson did, the media would be on fire that Belichick was abusing this young woman.
“If the situation was reversed, and we had a 74 year old female, and a 24 year old male in the background like, “We’re not talking about that” bahbah… we’d be accusing him of elder abuse and asking whether he was guilty of coercive controls and whether this woman was ok, and honestly, I have all those same questions here. I’m not sure we’re ever going to get any answers, but… she’s got major Dr. Jill (Biden) vibes.”
Kelly then informs fans that CBS shared that this interruption was just the tip of the iceberg of what happened on set, and that she intervened so many times that they allegedly felt it compromised the journalistic integrity of the Sunday morning program.
Kelly then said that she thought it was odd that she was so close to the sidelines of the interview, and that it mimicked a music producer being behind the board, controlling the sounds.
“Not only was she in sight, but she was a constant distraction.”
Later during the show’s segment, Kelly said that:
“The reactions online are basically,’ Blink twice if you need help, Bill Belichick.’ And that’s how it looks! I’m concerned for him.”
Kelly is added to the growing list of people chiming in on the awkward moment. You know it’s bad when pop culture podcasts, which usually discuss celebrity relationships and daily culture news, chime in, sharing very opinionated thoughts on how they, too, feel like she is calling the shots in a harmful way.
“Meanwhile, we got a glimpse into their relationship, she’s running things, he’s never looked worse. She is so scary. She is not being groomed by anyone. She’s grooming him! It’s elder abuse. She has balls of steel. The way she just chimed in, like who the f**k does she think she is sitting in on the CBS interview, period. Let alone being like ‘not saying that.’ She didn’t mince words.
We might have all been worried at one point about this young girl. After what I’ve seen, I am worried about this old man. She’s like a Ford. Built tough. Everything I was seeing of her, I was like, ‘Oh my god. Who the f**k is this girl?’”
Yikes… this whole situation is getting messy and doesn’t look good for the future of Belichick’s career or Jordon Hudson’s character.
