Vice President JD Vance Pours Beers For The Troops In Germany & The American People Love It: “I Voted For This”

JD Vance Air Base

Vice President JD Vance? More like bartender JD Vance.

The VP and his family traveled to Germany to visit United States troops that are stationed there. Vance has been traveling through Europe (and other places across the pond) for much of this week, even visiting with the Pope in Vatican City the day before he passed away. Now, the trip finds Vance and his family visiting with and supporting American servicemen and servicewomen who are currently stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Vance is a former serviceman himself, having served as a military journalist from 2003 to 2007 after joining the United States Marine Corps out of high school. He was even deployed during the Iraq War in 2005, and fulfilled duties there for a period of six months. All that to say that the troops stationed in Germany certainly appreciated a visit from a vice president that knows what it takes to serve one’s country.

And before traveling back to the United States (another reason for stopping at Ramstein Air Base was to fuel up before heading home), JD Vance took some time to pour servicemen and servicewomen at the air base some beer. Talk about a way to give back to this great country’s troops, am I right?

Top 5 Best Tasting Beers? Sure we can do that real quick:

5. Craft brewery’s house brew

4. Beer from the garage fridge

3. Cold beer

2. Free beer

1. A beer poured by the President or Vice President

Now I can vouch for most of the beers on that list, though I unfortunately can’t back up No. 1 on that list. I’m just imagining that a beer that’s poured from the draft by a president or vice president has to taste great, or at the very least, feel more special than just any ol’ regular beer.

Having Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama” playing in the background certainly helps too:

It’s also nice that each pour gave the vice president a chance to stop and talk with each service member. Could things have moved a little bit faster if the beverages were pre-poured, and Vance just handed them off? Sure. But it appears that Vice President Vance wanted to take the time to connect with each and every troop member that was stationed there (and wanted a beer).

I find that to be a pretty cool gesture, and social media agreed with me:

And hey… in case “Sweet Home Alabama” got stuck in your head, I’ve attached that below too. If only you were sipping on a freshly poured draft beer handed to you by the vice president right about now, am I right?
