Nobody trolls his opponents like Donald Trump.
Ever since he took the debate stage back in 2015 and just started talking shit to his opponents, Trump has always known exactly how to get under the skin of those who are against him. I mean, during his 2024 presidential campaign he couldn’t help but troll Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by constantly calling him “governor” after suggesting that Canada should become the 51st state, and of course he’s drawn plenty of criticism from the leftwing media for trolling Elizabeth Warren with the nickname “Pocahontas” for falsely claiming to be a Native American.
Recently the president has been trolling the media who won’t stop asking him about the 2028 election, despite the fact that he’s term-limited by the Constitution and can’t run again. For some reason people are terrified that he’ll try to run again, so instead of dismissing it for the ridiculous question that it is, Trump has decided to play into it and troll the liberal media to get them fired up, telling NBC during a recent interview:
“A lot of people want me to do it. But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration…
I’m not joking. But I’m not — it is far too early to think about it…
There are methods which you could do it.”
Of course there are some people who suggest that he could run as JD Vance’s running mate, and then Vance would just resign and allow Trump to assume the presidency. The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution only prohibits a person being “elected” to the presidency after serving two terms, but if he’s elected Vice President and assumes the presidency when Vance resigns, that could be a way around it.
And listen, I’m not ruling anything out from Trump. I learned long ago that you can’t really do that. But do I think he’s serious about serving a third term? Not at all. I think it’s a big troll just to watch his critics squirm and have a meltdown.
Well that’s exactly what they’re doing after seeing the newest addition to his store.
This morning, the Trump website added a “Trump 2028” hat to its merch store, once again sending liberals into a full-blown meltdown:
Hook, line and sinker. They fall for it every time, like moths to a flame (or like flies to shit, whichever analogy you prefer).
Of course there were some people who think the “Trump 2028” hat is a sign that one of his sons, either Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump, plans on running in 2028. But the most likely explanation is that it’s a masterful troll to make the media and Democrats melt down. Trump and Republicans know that JD Vance will likely be the GOP nominee in 2028, so why not make media look ridiculous and let them focus on 2028, all while he’s busy working on other things?
And assuming that’s his plan…it’s working to perfection.
