Kacey Musgraves Wants To Know If It’s “Possible To Die Of Horniness?”

Woah, Kacey, it’s only Monday…

I know that fans are always asking artists to share their raw, unfiltered thoughts on social media, like Zach Bryan (when he’s active), Koe Wetzel, and plenty of others so often do on X, but perhaps some intrusive thoughts don’t need to be shared with the world. Then again, who are we to judge, fire away.

Kacey Musgraves is taking off on Twitter (now known as X) for her most recent post, posing an interesting question to her fanbase.

“Is it possible to die of horniness? Asking for a friend.”

Ah, the old asking for a friend trick. I see what you’re doing there, Kacey…

Kacey Musgraves has kept her dating life on the down low since she split from her husband, Ruston Kelly. Since their divorce, Musgraves has had a relationship with writer Cole Schafer, but after two years together, they too called it quits. After their relationship Musgraves told The Cut that she’s an “all in” girl when it comes to relationships. 

“Whenever I’m in a relationship, I’m all f—ing in. After divorce, it’s like: On one hand, I do want to self-protect, but at the same time, if your heart is feeling open, I think you have to just show up for it. I’m still trying to figure out the balance of that.”

Given it’s been some time since her last public relationship, who knows, maybe Musgraves is going through a dry spell and really was just being honest with her fans. Although, I think this is information I could have gone without needing to know.

Also… pretty sure the scientific answer is “no,” but I’m not a doctor.

Her fans were shocked to say the least seeing this on their timeline this Monday afternoon, but also loved the realness with the statement. I mean, if Kayce is struggling, is there really hope for any of us?

Some fans also thought this might be her way of teasing a potential collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. Of course, Carpenter is known for leaning into her sexual desires in both her music, and with her appearance.

While there is no formal announcement of the two teaming up for a project, I could see this being a very real possibility. The two have graced the stage together before, giving fans a rocking performance of “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” at Outside Lands festival last year.

And these two women both have an “I don’t give a f**k personality” so I thin a collaboration between the two would rock.

It will be interesting to see if this post leads to a collaboration announcement or if it’s just Musgraves letting the world know she needs to get laid. Regardless, it’s quite the post to share on a Monday.
