Gypsy Rose Called Out For Clearly Edited Photo Showing Off Her “25 Pound” Weight Loss: “Looks Like A Totally Different Person”

Is it really that shocking that Gypsy Rose might not be completely transparent about something like this? I don’t think anyone should be too surprised…

If you’re not familiar with the wild story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the 33-year old was sentenced to 10 years in prison back in 2015 for the murder of her abusive mother, Dee Dee. At the time of the crime, Gypsy’s mother had convinced everyone that her daughter was disabled, unable to walk and requiring around-the-clock care. But it later turned out to be a severe case of Munchausen by proxy, and the severely undernourished Gypsy was not really disabled at all. And her and her boyfriend, who she had met online without her mother’s knowledge, had devised a plan to kill Dee Dee in order to free Gypsy from her abuse.

It’s a story that captivated the country, with numerous movies and documentaries being released about the bizarre story over the years, including the popular Mommy Dead and Dearest. Ultimately, most people felt sorry for Gypsy for the years of abuse she was forced to suffer at the hands of her mother, and she ended up pleading guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Gypsy was released on parole in 2023, and since then she’s been making the most of her freedom (as would be expected from somebody who had been abused her whole life). While she was in prison, Gypsy was engaged to a man named Ken Urker, who she met through a pen pal program, before breaking off their relationship and marrying another man named Ryan Anderson shortly before she was released.

But the marriage to Anderson didn’t last long, and Gypsy is now back with Urker, with whom she just had her first child… but she’s already getting back into shape post-baby… or something like that. On Sunday evening, Gypsy shared a photo of herself looking very slim, with an older photo from right after she got out of prison, telling her followers that she has lost 25 pounds and showing the difference in her body.

She has a different haircut now too, and honestly looks almost unrecognizable… many in the comments were quick to being on Ozempic or some sort of weight loss drug, and Gypsy wrote herself that she has been on a weight loss journey since right after she got out of prison, saying the “weight began to fall off” mostly due to her new eating habits:

“I’ve seen a lot of comments of people asking how I lost the weight so my weight loss journey started once getting out of prison so when I started eating healthier instead of prison food, the weight began to fall off. I started eating twice a day and smaller portions.”

Here’s what she posted:

There were tons of positive comments about her new body, and kudos to her for trying to get healthier.

But many noticed that something about the photo on the right was off… because the door clearly shows signs of editing, leading everyone to believe she had altered the photo to make herself look smaller than she really is. Of course, that’s nothing new for Instagram in terms of people altering their body and editing their photos, but still, this one was painfully obvious.

I’m sure she’s still lost a lot of weight, you can see it in her face especially, but nothing gets past the people on Instagram and I’m not so sure she’s figured that out yet:

“Your black soul is shining bright!”

“Is anyone else seeing that she elongated her picture? Look at the door, it’s unusually tall.”

“Oh, oh, oh, Ozempic!”

“Why is the door wood curved toward the bottom?? The door also looks abnormally long.”

“I feel like you have lived 5 lives in one year. The hair changes every 2 months. The weight is up and down every 4 months. Like girl. What are you actually doing. I’m curious.”

“Serious question, how can you live with yourself?? We see through you sweetie.”

“Please share how you also got taller , aren’t you 4’8 ? You look as tall as the door.”

“It’s sad to talk about weight loss while heavily photoshopping your photos.”

“That looks like a totally different person lol… but okay.”

“I think you’re confusing photoshop for weight loss and that’s not how that works.”

“Love the photoshop on the lower part of your legs.”

Yeah… it’s clearly edited, but like I said, I don’t think Gypsy is the most morally sound person we should be looking to in terms of being one hundred percent truthful about her life.
