Getting very personal.
I think we all know way, way more than we ever wanted to about the relationship between Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia, AKA Brianna Chickenfry and country star Zach Bryan, who went through an extremely pubic breakup last year. Well, when I say extremely public, I mean that Bri says she turned down a $12 million NDA from him and has been airing out a lot of their dirty laundry, so to speak, ever since.
Cleary she’s had a hard time with the breakup, and it’s understandable to a certain extent, but she got pretty candid on her Instagram stories earlier today, sharing some very personal information about her struggle with her weight both during after the breakup.
She shared that she weighed “109 pounds about four months ago,” and seeing as she is a tall girl at 5’9, she acknowledged just how unhealthy that was, because she simply was not eating. She expressed how much anxiety she was having dealing with the relationship, which caused her to have little to no appetite and to subsequently go through some extreme weight loss.
Weight is obviously a very personal thing, and she shared that she is now up to 133 pounds after not stepping on a scale in months and getting back to eating normally again:
“Also guys I was 109 pounds about four months ago. For reference I’m 5’9 so that is extremely unhealthy. I was struggling so hard with eating/anxiety for about six months. This is my first time on a scale in months. I’m really, really proud of myself.
It is a little hard gaining weight back and watching your body change. But I have to remind myself how I would have done anything to be able to eat normally and feel okay during that time. Love you guys and DM’s are always open if you’re struggling.”

She also noted how sad it was that when she was at her lowest weight and hadn’t eaten in two days, people were telling her how great and “skinny” she looked, which messed with her mentally. She encouraged her followers to “take care of your body” no matter what you look like:
“Saddest part is, I remember everyone telling me how great and skinny I looked that night but I hadn’t eaten in two days. I can’t express how important feeling healthy is over feeling like you ‘look good.’ Just take care of your body peeps, skinny, fay, short, tall just take care of the damn thing!! We are so lucky to be able to have the choice!!”

Brianna also shared this with a photo of her stomach:
“Mama’s fed and happy now.”

On her stories, Brianna thanked fans for all of their feedback, saying many of them had reached out to her with personal stories that were very similar in response to the other posts, and while I’m honestly tired of hearing about their breakup, I think something like this can actually be really positive and helpful to women of any age who have experienced anything remotely similar to his, whether it’s caused by a relationship or not:
“Guys, I know I’m kind of a drama queen, but you DMs are making me sob. You guys are so nice and I just like sharing everything in my life, and I didn’t realize that would be such a relatable post and it makes me sad that so many of you guys have struggled with it, but it also makes me happy that I can talk about it and make you feel better, and I just love you guys so much.”
Certain parts of hearing about this has gotten very old, but this is something I can get behind and I think it’s really nice that she has her DMs open to talk to other women who have experienced or are currently going through anything similar, because eating disorders, anxiety and other body image issues can really do a number on someone.
