Working in social media can be hard sometimes. You are supposed to share your life with thousands of people on the internet, and if you don’t share enough, folks get mad at you for not being open and honest. But when you lean into sharing your experiences, fans complain that they are tired of hearing you talk about a specific situation.
That is precisely what is happening to Brianna Chickenfry at this moment.
The Barstool Sports personality and ex-girlfriend of Zach Bryan cannot catch a break. After their very public breakup, Brianna went viral many times, speaking about their relationship and her experiences of being with him romantically. While ZB has poured himself into his music, not addressing any of Brianna’s allegations, she continues to talk about him, sharing stories about their time together.
After the explosive BFFs Podcast tell-all where Brianna claimed that ZB offered her $12 million to sign an NDA, shared that he emotionally abused her, and much more, fans were dialed in, ready to hear all of the drama. For a few weeks following the hit BFFs episode, Brianna continued to speak about him here and there, alleging that he cheated on her throughout the relationship and took her cat Stump “out of spite.”
Now that they have been separated for months, some fans are tired of hearing Brianna talk about ZB and their relationship. They feel like she’s making the fact that they dated her whole personality, despite her claims that it was very traumatic.
On the most recent BFFs episode, Brianna caused a stir when she mentioned the viral moment of Zach Bryan’s Meta glasses footage.
A few weeks ago, ZB was at a dive bar in New York City’s West Village playing a game of pool with some friends when a bar patron approached ZB, telling him that he was wearing Meta glasses recording everything. Zach, with a beer in hand, looked straight at the glasses-wearing guy and told him:
“I want to rip them off your face so bad… because we’re at a bar.”
I can’t blame Zach for this initial response. Although the man wearing the glasses noted that he didn’t care about ZB and was taking videos of his friends, it felt like he was making sure his eyes were on ZB throughout most of the video.
The two went back and forth with the Meta glasses-wearing man, saying:
“I’m taking videos of my friends, I don’t care about you. I don’t care about you and your f***ing friends, ok? I’m taking videos of me and my friends so we can cherish those memories, ok? I’m not trying to record your a**. I’m trying to record my sh*t with my friends, for memories, to have fun, it has nothing to do with you. And you’re just being a douche. You’re seriously just being a d*ck.”
It sounds like Zach responded:
“That’s the gayest thing I ever heard, bro.”

Of course the guy who “was just having fun with his friends” went straight to TMZ with the footage…
The moment took off, with many outlets covering the interaction. Because of the news coverage it was gaining on social media, Brianna and her co-host Josh Richards discussed the moment during their segment about recent viral moments.
Brianna led the conversation about this headline, noting that she wished she had Meta glasses when she was with ZB to capture their horrible moments and that the footage made her angry.
“Ooo, next headline. Keeping it with the people, ‘Zach Bryan Caught Starting a Fight at a Bar in the West Village Through Meta Ray Bans.’ Did you see this? It’s crazy. I was honestly like… I was pretty p*ssed at the footage. I was like ugh this is weak sauce like I wish I had Meta Ray Bans or my friends had Meta Ray Bans when he was around. Like the video isn’t…like it’s bad but it’s not like…I’ve seen worse.”
While Josh Richards thinks the interaction is funny, mocking the man behind the glasses shouting, “That’s gay,” Brianna does not fight as much humor to the interaction as it reminded her of when ZB flipped out when people had their phone out around him.
“He just always assumes people are recording him, like if they take their phone out, like he will just take their phone and smash it. Like, I was skiing last year with my family and my friends, and my little cousin’s friend was there, and they were all hanging out outside, and Zach was like, talking with them and hanging with them. And he was like, ‘Can I get a picture?’ They were taking a picture together, and Zach was like, ‘Yes, Miles.’
Then something switches, and he takes his phone—my little cousin’s little friend’s phone—smashes it on the ground, goes inside, and makes everyone cry. I already know that’s what happened that night. He’s just a d*ck.”

By the end of the segment, Josh Richards looked ready to move on, and the rest of the internet felt the same way. Comments quickly flooded the TikTok of the clip, with many users expressing that she’s acting all tough for being able to talk about their relationship like this, but he was the one that left her and put his Raya profile back on before confirming they split.
Given how frequently she’s itching to talk about him on her platform, the general consensus is that she’s not healing and moving on.
“She can’t stop talking about him.”
“And she stayed with him, until HE left HER.”
“Literally all she does is talk about him lmao embarrassing.”
“Being his ex is her biggest flex.”
“She would still be with him if he didn’t break it off with her.”

While there are two sides to every story and Brianna is entitled to share her experiences, I think this is an instance where reading the comments would benefit her. She’s hurting her personal brand by continually talking about him and the trauma he caused her, and eventually, that will hurt the number of viewers she has.
