Confirming the rumors.
Last night, fans began to speculate that Zach Bryan and his girlfriend, Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry, had broken up after screenshots began circulating of Zach’s profile on a celebrity dating app, Raya.

Of course it’s not the first time that fans have thought the two had split.
A couple weeks ago, Zach found himself in the middle of controversy over a drunken tweet that said Kanye was better than Taylor Swift. Obviously Swifties got mad, Zach apologized and deleted his Twitter account, and everybody moved on, right?
Well not exactly. In his apology, Zach mentioned that he had been “going through a hard time” in his personal life. And eagle-eyed followers noticed that Zach and Brianna hadn’t posted any pictures together recently, leading them to speculate that the “hard time” Zach was referring to was a breakup with his girlfriend.
Brianna put those rumors to bed on an episode of her BFFs podcast, where she said they were “together now and everything is ok.”
But it seems this time, they’ve decided to go their separate ways.
In a post on his Instagram story, Zach confirmed that he and Brianna have broken up,
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.
I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.
Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too. With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
The two had been together for over a year, when according to Brianna (whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia), their relationship started when Zach slid into her DMs after she made an appearance along with some of her co-workers at his Forest Hills Stadium concert last June.

And after chatting a bit, their first date actually turned out to be an 18-hour road trip together.
Brianna says that she was messaging with Zach and he mentioned that he had to drive his truck from Philadelphia to Oklahoma. And Bri, who admits that she was drunk at the time, offered to go with him – despite the fact that they had never really met in person.

The couple have been public with their relationship since last July, and Brianna even traveled with Zach on his bus during his Quittin’ Time tour this summer – along with their dogs, Boston and Jack, and Brianna’s cats.
Of course there’s going to be plenty of online chatter about it, but it sounds like Zach is dealing with quite a bit right now so we should all just hope that he’s able to get through it the best he can and come out stronger on the other side.
