Can somebody just get this guy a full-time show?
As a Saints fan, I was heartbroken when the team decided to release quarterback Jameis Winston last year. The guy may not be an all-star quarterback, but he’s a first-team vibes guy that everybody wants to have on their team and in their locker room.
Jameis is a free agent right now, with his Browns missing out on the postseason and choosing to move on from the veteran quarterback who stepped in when their overpaid starter and accused sexual predator Deshaun Watson was injured early in the season. But instead of going on vacation now that his season’s over, Jameis is spending Super Bowl week in New Orleans as a reporter for FOX Sports – and he may have found his true calling (after his football career is over, of course).
Of course Jameis has always been hilarious, so it’s a natural fit to just put a microphone in his hand and set him loose to see what happens. And so far he hasn’t disappointed.
During media day, Jameis spent his time asking players from the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles which team he should sign with next season:

Just an absolute content machine.
But unfortunately his bike riding might not be as strong as his reporting.
Earlier today, Jameis was spotted driving a pedicab around the French Quarter. And if you’ve ever driven in New Orleans, or even visited the city, you know how hard it can be to get around. The streets are tight, there are potholes everywhere, you’re constantly dodging cars and pedestrians…and carriages.
Unfortunately Jameis learned just how hard it is to drive in the Big Easy, and crashed his bike straight into a horse-drawn carriage. (Yes, I know they’re actually mules and not horses).

Hey, happens to the best of us.
Jameis said that he just learned how to ride a bike today, and while it showed at first, it seems like he finally got the hang of it and was cruising around singing his own version of R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly.”

Classic. This is the kind of content I want during the Super Bowl. Get Jameis his own show immediately.
Of course Jameis is already a legend in New Orleans after the move he pulled last year when he ended up going rogue and running a touchdown play in the final seconds of a game against the Saints’ rival Atlanta Falcons. The move pissed off then-coach Dennis Allen, who apologized to the Falcons for running up the score, but as a Saints fan I can confirm that running up the score on the Falcons is exactly what I want from every player on the team.
It’s hard to tell where Jameis will end up next season, but I think it’s pretty clear that when he finally hangs it up in the NFL, he’s got a pretty bright future in broadcasting.
