Name a better duo than country music and bourbon…

Well, for the state of Kentucky (and everywhere else, honestly), that is the perfect pairing to go along with performances by Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, who will headline the 2025 edition of Railbird Music Festival.

Taking place this summer in Lexington, Kentucky on May 31st and June 1st at The Infield at Red Mile, there’s a great group artists that are also slated to take the stage throughout the weekend, including Riley Green, The Red Clay Strays, Cody Jinks, Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen, Sierra Ferrell, Treaty Oak Revival, Wyatt Flores, Blackberry Smoke, Luke Grimes, Gavin Adcock, Ole 60, Josh Meloy, Ruston Kelly, Sierra Hull, Noeline Hoffman and more.

Of course, there will be curated bourbon experiences, celebrating the spirit of Kentucky throughout the weekend as well.

With a history of headliners in Kentucky’s own Chris Stapleton and the Turnpike Troubadours, Railbird is typically one of the best festivals in terms of their top to bottom lineup, and is shaping up to be one of the more solid festival lineups announced this year.

And speaking of headliner Miss Lainey Wilson, she’s coming off of a pretty big year in 2024, which featured her on Post Malone’s debut country album F-1 Trillion, in addition to her releasing her own album Whirlwind, winning the CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year and hosting the show, and touring her butt off all over the country.

She said at the end of last year, though, that she was “waiting” on a ring from her boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges, who she’s been dating for a while now. Lainey told Bunnie XO that he shouldn’t feel “pressure” to do it, which really means that the pressure is on, Duck, and you should probably pop the question sooner rather than later…

“No pressure, brother. No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waiting.”

She actually wrote a rare love song about him on her aforementioned album called “4X4XU,” which in an interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed that she was able to write it in 30 minutes, which is much faster than she normally writes, because it just “felt right”:

“I’m very proud of that song, and we actually wrote that song in 30 minutes, which is crazy for me because I don’t write songs in 30 minutes. Normally it takes me six hours, and then we might come back to it again the next day. But that one just fell out of the sky, and it just felt right and it flowed.”

Lainey added added that she wanted to give fans a peak into her personal life, saying it was intentionally “flirty” but deep at the same time:

“Thinking back to my life and life on the road and making sure that I’m keeping these things that make me feel like I’ve got my feet on the ground for me right now, that is my relationship and I’m in a happy, healthy one. One of our favorite things to do is ride around, and it’s the simple things in life.

It’s about keeping your people close and the ones that remind you who you are and what you stand for, and remind you to stick to your guns and stay true to yourself. Those things make me feel at home.

So when we were sitting down to write the song, I was like, of course, let’s be cute with it, and let’s be flirty and have little wink moments, but let’s dig a little bit deeper. Let’s let this person know just how important they really are in your life and how important those simple moments can be.”

You just have to hear it now…
