Brutal.
2024 has obviously been a wild year, with the presidential election and everything that happened. We started the year thinking (or at least being told) that President Joe Biden would be the Democrat nominee running against former President Donald Trump, but when it became evident after the debate in June the Democrats quickly switched up their plan and forced him to step aside so they could install Kamala Harris as the nominee.
Harris, of course, ended up losing to Donald Trump, who survived multiple assassination attempts during a campaign that also saw him work at McDonald’s and ride in a garbage truck. Oh, and this also came after he was convicted of 34 felonies in a political prosecution brought by the District Attorney in New York City, Alvin Bragg.
So yeah, a lot happened in 2024. And comedian Whitney Cummings summed it up perfectly during her appearance on CNN for New Years Eve.
The news network (I use that term lightly) is hosting their annual New Years Eve show in Times Square, with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen once again getting drunk as they wait for the ball to drop.
Although it seems that Cooper is having a little trouble taking shots…I’ve never seen somebody gag and cough that much trying to do a shot. You’d think he would be better at this by now after doing it for years:

But anyway, while they were waiting, Cummings joined them for a “roast of 2024” – and she didn’t hold back:
“The 2024 election fried our brains. The Democrats couldn’t hold a primary because they were too busy holding a body upright…
It was amazing that the pro-choice party didn’t give their voters one when it came to their candidate. Kamala was forced on us so hard you would think she was patented by Pfizer…
I’m playing bigger and bigger venues now. I thought being a mom would mean that less people would come see me. I’m now playing like 3,000 seat theaters, which is about the viewership of CNN these days.”
Boom, roasted.

She also took a shot at President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden:
“Documentaries finally realized the only way to make money is to just make them about cheerleaders. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader doc showed the girls being treated horribly, underpaid, crying. I thought I opened a video on Hunter Biden’s laptop.”
She actually mentions Hunter Biden's laptop and his obsession with hookers:

It was pretty funny to see the uncomfortable looks on both of the liberal hosts’ faces as Cummings roasted their party and their network, but it was nice to see them able to laugh at themselves after a disaster of a year.
Meanwhile, President-Elect Donald Trump is hosting his own star-studded New Years Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago resort, with guests like Elon Musk, Linda McMahon, Ted Cruz and many more. And ahead of the ball drop, Trump sent out his own well-wishes for 2025 when asked for his New Years resolution:
“I just want everyone to be happy, healthy and well.”
