Hunter Uses Drone To Pack Out Downed Deer, Drops It Right In The Back Of UTV

The deer hunting game has forever been changed.

That is if you can afford a heavy duty drone like the one in this video. Technology never ceases to amaze me. To be frank, it scares me equally as much, but it is always interesting to see what kind of revolutionary ideas some of the smartest people on the planet are bringing to life.

And just so I’m clear, I’m not the old man yelling at the sky saying that technology is becoming too much, or saying it will lead to the end of the world. I’m actually a fan of most advancements, and I could certainly see the drone that’s featured in the video below becoming very helpful in the world of hunting.

Drones are already making a huge difference in various other ways, such as the ones you can find at Michael Jordan’s golf courses, where you order a meal or drink from the clubhouse and they fly it out to you with a drone wherever you are out on the course. Playing at that course is now on my bucket list, only so I can drink a beer that was flown out to me.

Then you have this beer-delivery-drone, which doesn’t seem all that practical to me. People love a good shower beer, but I’m not so sure if people love being showered in beer:

Pretty cool right?

Now take the idea of that drone – beer picked up by flying device – and up the scale of it a bit. That brings us to the deer-delivery drone that has been making its rounds on the internet. It’s the same idea, though instead of moving a glass of beer from one place to the next, the drone is designed to pick up a dead deer and relocate it to your desired destination.

Anyone that has ever gone deer hunting knows that the thrill of the hunt – and actually bringing a deer down – is often followed with the gut-punch of, “Oh, now I have to haul this thing out of here.” The pack out process is tough.. no two ways about it. Sometimes the deer finds its final resting place close to your ATV path, and it’s no big deal at all. Other times, the dying deer runs a parkour route right before it croaks, and really makes your job of getting it back to civilization difficult.

But with this new technology, all you would need to do is get the deer to a clearing in the woods, or the nearest open field. Once you’ve accomplished that, your part of the job is over. Then you can sit back, crack open a brewski, and watch your recently bagged and tagged deer fly up into the air and off to your UTV/truck.

As the caption of the post boasts, this deer drone will make “freezer filling easier than ever.”

If anyone has ever told you, “I’ll believe that when deer fly,” make sure to send this over to them.

This is what technology is all about. Pinpoint a job that sucks, create a device that does it for you, and BAM! You’ve got yourself a deer drone. Now obviously something like this would cost you a pretty penny, but I’m sure there are plenty of big-time hunters out there that would be interested.

Social media users certainly seem intrigued based upon the comments they left underneath the post:

“Wow, that’s an incredible lift for a small machine! Sometimes technology is our friend.”

“Definitely had some days where I’d happily love to have that gadget. And in some cases, this would make retrieval a hell of a lot safer for people.”

“Dreams do come true.”

“I’m writing my letter to Santa now.”

“You better come back and get me too. I’m not walking back after seeing what it can do. And whoever invented that, I love you but hate you too.”
