I have more respect for someone who goes by the name “Chickenfry” than I could have ever imagined…

Last night, the episode of BFFs podcast that many fans have been waiting for since Zach Bryan and Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry broke up finally aired, where she spoke with co-hosts Dave Portnoy, Barstool CEO, as well as other Barstool personality Josh Richards about everything that went down.

She spilled a ton of tea and details about their (not so perfect) relationship, saying she was apparently offered $12 MILLION to sign and NDA in the wake of the breakup, but she ultimately turned it down.

Bri also revealed that she and Zach got tattoos of each other (she didn’t say specifically what they were) just days after meeting, before they were even officially dating, which seems like a massive red flag to me, but I digress…

One of the most interesting parts to me, though, was when Bri told the story of how Zach allegedly offered to double her salary at Barstool so she could quit and I guess follow him around on the road? If that’s what you truly want to do, I think it’s perfectly fine and you won’t get any judgment from me, but it’s clear Brianna loved her job and had no desire whatsoever to quit for him.

As Portnoy put it, she has a blossoming career as a content creator and podcast host, but he didn’t know about the offer from Zach until after they renegotiated her renewal:

“But it’s like, why, Zach, would you go down a path with a woman who has a blossoming career? You know who she is, and then suddenly be like, drop it.

You mentioned, and I didn’t know this when we negotiated your last, and this all I found out post, when we negotiated your renewal, that he wanted to pay you more than we were gonna pay you just not to work.”

Brianna explained that there were times she thought about doing it, because Zach would tell her she was “better than Barstool,” but she ultimately knew she loved her job and who she is, and she was not going to give that up because he wanted her to:

“Yeah, he offered to double what you offered me so that I would quit. And this was, what month was this? I go by hair colors. This was probably, like, November maybe, I don’t know. Even then, I was like, no. I love my job, I love what I do, I love who I am. You’re not gonna take everything away from me.

Like, I said I would come on the road with you because I can still do my job… and I can still do my podcast. But he just didn’t want me to do it… he twisted in my head where he would make me be like, ‘You’re better than this. You’re better than Barstool. You’re destined for so much more.’

He would twist it where it was like, he made me believe, ‘Yeah, f*** that. Maybe I should leave Barstool.’ But no, I love my job, I love what I do and people have always loved me. And people started to hate me because I became this version of him through dating him.”

It’s obviously the right call and decision for her, and I’m just glad she at least realized that before she ruined that part of her life too. Ultimately, all of this a great lesson for any woman, but young women especially, and I think that’s the silver lining of her sharing some of these stories with the world.

And hey, she can listen to Morgan Wallen shamelessly now, too… that’s some sort of a win, right? A moral victory, at least…

You can watch the full episode below… and while it’s only one side of the story, it’s definitely pretty juicy:
