Lotta people wanting to see the Boys from Oklahoma.
Of course who can blame them. Formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in the mid-90s, Cross Canadian Ragweed became a cornerstone of the Red Dirt movement before calling it quits in 2010, with Cody Canada and Jeremy Plato going on to form Cody Canada and the Departed.
Since then, fans have been praying for a Ragweed reunion, though until a few weeks ago that possibility seemed unlikely.
But after the band began teasing something in the works on their social media, everybody began questioning whether we might finally get something new out of the Red Dirt band – or at least see them back on stage together.
And earlier this week, Ragweed confirmed that they would be reuniting for the first time in 15 years for a special show back where it all began.
“The Boys From Oklahoma” show, featuring Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours, will be held at Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University on Saturday, April 12, 2025, and will also feature The Great Divide, Stoney LaRue, and Jason Boland & the Stragglers.
The show is a throwback of sorts to some of the legendary Oklahoma State Calf Fry festivals that these acts played back in the day, so naturally the excitement was at an all-time high after the show was announced.
And as it turns out, so was the demand.
With over 120,000 fans signing up for the presale, which won’t take place until October 7, the band announced today that they’ve added a second date at Boone Pickens Stadium on Friday, April 11.
The second show will feature the same lineup, except Mike McClure Band will take the place of The Great Divide. And tickets for both shows go on sale to the general public on October 11 – if there are even any tickets left after the presale.
If you want to sign up for your presale password you can go to www.theboysfromoklahoma.com – like 120,000 people have done already.
