I don’t speak sign language, but let me tell you I’m obsessed with watching ASL interpreters at concerts.
There have been some incredible videos that have gone viral over the years of these dedicated professionals just giving it their all and putting on their own little show as they translate the performance taking place beside them on stage.
A couple of years ago, one interpreter stole the show while signing along with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP.” And it turns out, the sign language version looks exactly like you’d expect it to.

Well there was recently an ASL interpreter who was helping out during the Country Thunder music festival at Bristol Motor Speedway. And one of the performers that night just happened to be Trace Adkins, who had a massive hit with his 2005 song “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.”

And as it turns out, even Trace himself got a kick out of the performance, turning and chuckling as he got a glimpse of this guy just absolutely killing it over on the side of the stage.

This legend’s name is Andrew Metcalf, and it appears he’s taken notice of his viral fame: He created a TikTok account under the name “Badonkadonk Interpreter,” and even has other videos of himself signing the song.
