No better way to get over someone than getting a half-million dollar car underneath you.
The bombshell divorce between Jelly Roll and his now-ex wife, Bunnie Xo, was finalized back on July 17, just 60 days after the “Save Me” singer filed his complaint in Williamson County, Tennessee.
After the news of the divorce became public, Bunnie (whose real name is Alisa DeFord) was spotted back on July 4th making out with 24-year-old reality star Dylan Wolf at Jelly Roll’s Nashville bar, Good Night Nashville. TMZ first shared video of the 46-year-old Dumb Blonde Podcast host with Wolf, who it seems nobody had ever heard of but is apparently a star on the new Netflix reality show “Calabasas Confidential.”
After the video went viral, Bunnie explained that the two aren’t dating, but that she was simply having some fun with the younger man:
“Granted, would I have done it as public as I did it? No, okay, that was a lesson learned. Can your girl get a sweet little kiss under the fireworks? I’ve never had that done, I thought it was so sweet… just let your girl live. Let her just live a tiny bit. I’m not dating anyone, I don’t wanna date anyone. I am here for fun, baby. I am having fun. I learned a lot of lessons this week, and I’m gonna take it on the chin, because I did this and I take full accountability for it. But that’s all it was.”
But it seems the two are still hanging out, because Wolf was by Bunnie’s side recently when she made a big purchase: A Rolls-Royce.
Bunnie shared video over the weekend as she bought the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which starts at around $442,000 and can run over $550,000 depending on the model and features on the vehicle.
And though some people in the comments criticized Bunnie for running out and buying a half a million dollar car immediately after a divorce, she was quick to clap back in the comments:
“I bought a car after having one of the hardest years of my life? If you a hater, just say that sis”
Of course I’m sure there are people out there pushing the “she got paid in the divorce and then went out and bought a luxury car” narrative, but that’s not really fair in this case because Bunnie was also massively successful (and rich) on her own, even without her husband. She’s built up a huge following of her own, and even revealed that she made six figures on a single episode of her podcast in which she talked about the divorce (though it’s since been deleted).
It’s also not clear just how much – if anything – she got paid in the separation. We know that Jelly Roll allowed her to keep the “dream house” that they were building, but the details of the settlement between the two are largely confidential. The Marital Dissolution Agreement filed with the court to finalize the divorce reveals that the couple reached a settlement agreement to split all of their assets, including real estate, bank accounts, life insurance, and their aircraft, but that’s about all we know.
And it’s also important to remember that her and Jelly Roll are still on good terms, with the country superstar calling his ex-wife his “best friend.” If she wants to buy a nice car after the divorce, I’m sure Jelly Roll doesn’t care – so I’m really not sure why anybody else would either.
