Presidential debates? Pshh… how about a round of golf to decide democracy!
If you tuned in to the first 2024 Presidential Debate, what did you think? It was certainly eventful, and the format definitely fared better than how things used to go. But one of the big, recurring issues was actually answering the questions that were asked.
Other than that, I’m not going to get into the politics behind the live debate that aired on CNN. Though I am happy to point out what was undoubtedly the funniest portion of the conversation. Believe it or not, as America tries to decide who we want to be our next president, our two candidates were too busy arguing about their golf games.
Just a couple of old guys cutting it up about how far they can hit the ball and what their handicaps are.
At one point, when Biden and Trump were asked about their competency if they were elected (Biden would be 86 at the end of his second term, Trump would be 82), the former president boasted about his recent club championships.
No, seriously, watch for yourself:
Lmfaooo Trump says to Biden: "He can't hit a golf ball 50 yards."

Considering golf is often considered an old man’s game, that’s not the best argument.
But things really got interesting when President Biden challenged Trump to a driving contest, and said he’d be happy to play him in a round of golf while bragging about his handicap.
Officially? That’s ridiculous, and our candidates should be talking about more important things. Unofficially? That’s hilarious, and I doubt I’m the only one that would LOVE to see a golf match between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

It was a long debate, but the golf argument and handicap debate (speaking in golf terms) was definitely a high point – or was it a low point? If you asked social media, they were certainly fans of it as Twitter let the golf jokes and memes fly:
Biden: I have a six handicap in golf.
Trump: No you don't. I have seen your swing.

These dudes have been calling each other the worst President in history for 80 straight minutes — and neither one of them got really offended until their golf skills were questioned. Hahaha.
