Good Lord, people… no pun intended.
After Carly Pearce shared a collection of photos noting how grateful she was to play for such a massive audience, her comments section quickly filled up with people thinking that she was a member of the Illuminati, or a devil worshiper, as it appears in one image, a “666” is shown under her bus parking spot. If you look closer, it’s actually parking space 668, but why let the truth get in the way of a absurd witch hunt.
Some of the comments included:
“666, we know who you worship.”
“The obvious 666..? Disappointing”
“Why the 666??”
The internet is such a ridiculous place…
CMA Fest, you were magical. It’s still so surreal to me that I get to be a part of it the way that I do. Over 25 years of country music dreams lived out on the stage last night. 🥹🤍 #CMAfest pic.twitter.com/oRIoYC9R1E

Carly Pearce was not having it, and was quick to shut down the talk that she was “hinting” at being a devil worshiper.
“I’ve seen too many comments about this being some sort of “hint” towards 666 or Satan to not comment. First of all, this was the parking spot for my tour bus at CMA fest & I believe it is 668. I am a devout Christian who takes PRIDE in using my platform to point people towards JESUS.
So, for anyone wondering… there are absolutely ZERO underlying messages except a girl excited to be playing the big stage.”

Pearce was not taking the slander, making her message very clear.
I must admit that I did not even notice that when looking at the images. People pick apart every detail of the images, looking for anything they can connect her success to (good and bad). While there are often rumors swirling about those “selling their soul” for fame, Pearce has worked her tail off to make it to where she is and is proud of that.
While you’re here, fire up one of my favorite songs off Pearce’s new album, Hummingbird.
“Truck On Fire”
