Not the country music byline I thought would be on my lineup for the day, but here we are…
I guess this is one way to ensure that you don’t reflect the stage lights when you strip down in front of fans.
I’m not going to sit here and act like I follow Bailey Zimmerman super closely or even listen to his music, but at times, it is hard to get a read on this kid. From his cringy TikTok videos to vlogging life on the road, I can’t really tell at times if he’s really in it for the music or is just trying to be famous… oh and let’s not forget the time he allegedly lost a bet to Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and had to perform while on MDMA (jury is still out on if that one is true).
Regardless of opinions on him, sometimes the stuff that flies out of his mouth is just straight-up funny. Most recently, Zimmerman chatted about his passion for spray tans:
On a recent Katie & Company Podcast, host Katie Neal asked Zimmerman about a vlog she watched in which he talked about getting a spray tan, and she should not tell if he was joking or not.
Zimmerman then opened up about how much he loves a spray tan.
“I’m tired of hiding it. I get freaking spray tans, and that’s fine because I’m human, and I was born with like the whitest skin. Like I am like a ghost. And sometimes I want to be tan with everyone else. It’s fun to be tan.
Quit thinking it’s weird to get a spray tan. You look better. Everyone looks so good with a spray tan, and it’s fun, alright.”
Then Zimmerman lays down what should maybe be his next tagline.
“Ernest has been saying, ‘Legalize country music.’ I say, ‘Legalize men’s spray tans.'”
I thought the comments would flame Zimmerman for his love of artificial tan, but it was far from that. While a few comments might have been sarcastic, the majority of fans loved that he opened up about tanning.
“IT IS FUN TO BE TAN.”
“He’s such a vibe.”
“Bailey, I get it.”
“He’s such a green flag.”
“He’s so real.”
“LOUDER.”
“Preach Bailey.”
Disclosing this information clearly won the hearts of fans, given the positive comments left on the clip. As someone who often sports a fake fan myself, I can respect the transparency. Keep on doing you, Bailey Zimmerman.
