Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen are teaming up once again.
The longtime friends and collaborators are back in the studio, ready to announce their newest project, Hold My Beer, Vol. 4. The fourth edition of the beloved Hold My Beer EPs is set to release on July 12th, which is just shy of a year since the last installment hit streaming platforms.
The two began the Hold My Beer EPs in 2015, and fans quickly fell in love with the collaboration between the two Texas icons. Posed after the infamous phrase, “Hold my beer and watch this,” the duo has been laying down some twangers that will make you want to pass off your beer to dance or grab a beer and cry. With Volumes 1 and 2 resulting in hits like “‘Till It Does” and “Rhinestoned,” Volume 3 had fans ready to crack a Lone Star to tracks like “Shooting Hand” and “I Moved Into A Bar.”
Given the successes found on the previous installments, I can only imagine what goodness has been cooking in the studio for Volume 4.
“I’m so excited for everyone to hear what Vol. 4 holds. Hold my beer, that is. See what I did there.”
Rogers joked when asked about the forthcoming project. Bowen also chimed in on his excitement for the EP, saying:
“Another Hold My Beer that will have ya dancing and drinking and tappin’ your foot. Get your beers ready!”
Bowen and Rogers collaborated with longtime colleagues Wyatt McCubbin, David Lee Murphy, Aaron Raitiere and Jim Beavers to write this EP. Alongside the EP’s release date in July, the duo will embark on a Texas tour to promote the new tracks just days after the project hits streaming platforms.
This release couldn’t come at a better time, and I am sure it will be blasted during summer boat days.
