Noodling season is officially here.
As the temperatures are warming up, it’s time to stick some hands into holes (get your mind out of the gutter) and hope that a hoss of catfish latches on to you. Koe Wetzel is an avid outdoorsman, taking full advantage of his downtime, dipping his toe into the pond and catching some big cats.
Koe posted two of the prize catfish he secured on Instagram over the last few days. While the fish are beautiful and impressive, social media users were more infatuated with the shirtless singer than with what he was holding. Koe posted the first image with a cigar in his mouth, celebrating the beauty he secured, but the innocent caption was quickly met with feral comments.
“First fish of the season, sunburnt and celebrating!”
“Acceptable dating profile pic.”
“Weird way to propose, but yes.”
“I ain’t NEVER wanted to be a damn fish so much in my life.”
“Sit on my face (satire).”
I mean, I nearly spit out my drink while reading that one.
“I’m pregnant.”
Those comments were just the beginning of what was to come after Koe posted a picture of the second fish he caught noodling. The big mama slung over his shoulder was appropriately captioned:
“Fat B***hes Only.”
Koe had to have known he was opening the gates with a caption like that. From his stance in the image, he is the definition of peak male performance.
Parker McCollum got things rolling with his response.
“We been knowin’ that cuz.”
And that’s when the internet lost its mind.
“Um, are you flirting with me?”
“Ladies… it’s our time.”
“Haters don’t wanna hear it, but this is peak male form.”
“What I would give to be that fish.”
“Bro, my wife is on social media. Chill out with these.”
“So, you’re telling me there’s a chance?”
“Got me purring like this catty.”
“Shiet, good thing I haven’t started Ozempic.”
“Caption is so real, Koe.”
