It’s finally HERE.

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen dropped their new single “I Had Some Help,” which is the first studio cut we’ve gotten of an original Posty country song. Of course, the duo has been teasing it for at least a couple months now, and fans have obviously been dying to hear the full song.

Written by Post Malone (who is listed by his real name, Austin Post, in the credits), along with country hitmakers Morgan Wallen, Ryan Vojtesak and Ernest along with Louis Bell and Hoskins, it’s not exactly that Tyler Childers-esque country song I was hoping for, but super catchy nonetheless.

While Post has listed artists like Childers, Sturgill Simpson and Colter Wall as some of his favorites, this song is certainly more along the lines of what I was expecting from him “going country,” and fits in well with Morgan’s sound too in terms of the more pop-leaning, less-traditional country sound.

It’s already on rotation at country radio, and I think will quickly become a crossover hit and be on repeat for fans all summer long. When you get two of the biggest names in music together, what else can you really expect but a smash hit?

Like I said, it’s really catchy and fun, and just the beginning of Post Malone’s country venture. He’s also teased a song with Luke Combs, and has hinted at a country album as well.

The duo also dropped a new music video for “I Had Some Help,” which was filmed at he Joshua Tree Saloon in California, and finds Post in a phone booth (what a throwback there) talking to his girl on the phone who is obviously upset with him… he seems to get over the fight pretty quickly and has some fun with the locals, drinking beer and partying with Morgan.

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you this, but… check it out:
