And that’s why we stay away from crocodiles… these beasts ain’t nothing to mess with.

Nile crocs look like their from a different time period and have characteristics like their bite to go with it. They have the strongest bite force in the world, with over 5,000 pounds per square inch of force. That’s enough to crumple bone with ease. To get a bite that strong they have to be big, and they are, reaching over 16 feet in length and over 1,200 pounds. Their size and bite means they can take down massive animals… even a wildebeest.

To pair with their bite, these Nile crocs are fast, able to have bursts up to 20 miles per hour, while also being very agile with lightning-fast reflexes.

This hunter spotted a croc lurking beneath the surface waiting for a meal and decided to show us how quick they really are. He throws it a piece of chicken, and in a flash, the croc catches it before it even hits the water.

I wouldn’t want to jump in the water anywhere these things are around.
