That altitude makes the alcohol hit a little different…
If you’re not familiar with comedian Nick Swardson, you’ve probably at least seen him if you’ve watched any of Adam Sandler’s movies from the last 20 years. He’s also starred in TV shows like Reno 911! and has released a few stand up specials over the years like his 2009 special Seriously, Who Farted? and 2015’s Taste It.
Well apparently last night in Beaver Creek, Colorado, Nick went a little too hard before the show and ended up getting booted before it was over.
Video shows the comedian on stage rambling as he interacts with what seems to be a pretty rowdy crowd.
And just a few minutes later, while Nick is still on stage, the venue turns off the spotlight and raises the house lights before his mic is shut off and somebody walks out and escorts him back off the stage.
Then a man comes out and introduces himself as the “Director of Operations” before announcing that the show was over:
“We’ve decided to conclude the show early in the best interest of those who bought tickets. We apologize for what you’ve seen tonight. Please email the box office. We’ll be responding to inquiries and processing credits and refunds.”
And folks took to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about the mess of a show:
I wouldn’t recommend tickets! You preformed in Vail last night and repeated the same lines until the lights came on and they cut your mic! if you can’t handle your liquor/drugs at altitude you shouldn’t do them!
