Would You Pay $800 To Spend New Year’s Eve At Applebee’s Time Square? Some People Are Actually Doing It…

Applebee's
Inside Edition

Nothing says “let’s have a great 2024” like spending the closing moments of 2023 at an Applebee’s.

I’m sure a lot of you all reading this already have standing plans to ring in the New Year at your local neighborhood bar and grill. With 2-for-$20 deals, $1.50 PBR’s. and half price appetizers after 9 p.m, why would you sing “Auld Lang Syne” as the clock strikes midnight anywhere else?

If you live in New York City and want to party your heart out at the casual dining establishment, you are unfortunately going to have to pony up a lot of cash. Residents that wish to watch the NYE Times Square Ball Drop from Applebee’s (A.K.A. experience the American Dream) will have to pay $800 just to get in the door (the price has gone up in the last couple of days).

Now that might seem like some absurd pricing, but when you factor in a couple of details, the $650 price point isn’t all that bad. When you book your spot/buy your ticket to spend New Year’s Eve at Applebee’s, you are actually getting an all-inclusive experience that includes:

-Guaranteed spot near Times Square to watch the world famous Ball Drop

-All-You-Can-Eat Dinner buffet that expands on the traditional Applebee’s menu

-Live DJ and access to the luxurious Applebee’s dance floor

-Open Bar

When you consider all of that, the $650 dollars doesn’t look all that bad, considering you could be paying $20+ for each drink anywhere else in the Times Square area. Guests that choose to spend the special night at the Applebee’s will be welcomed in at 7 p.m, and the non-stop party will run until the ball drops at midnight.

The video below talks about the price hike that has happened in the last week for tickets to just get into the Applebee’s on NYE (that have moved the get in price from $650 to closer to $1000), and also features an interview with the owner of the two Applebee’s locations in Times Square.

He sounds JACKED to have guests at his neighborhood bar and grill locations for New Year’s:
