Another airport meltdown was added to the list for 2023… and it might just be the best one we’ve seen all year. I mean, nothing like sneaking in a few days before the end of the year and taking the crown.
We all know the holidays are a stressful time for travel. From extended wait times to get through TSA security, canceled flights, total flights sitting shoulder to shoulder in a cramped seat, to lost bags, traveling during this season is less than enjoyable.
While patience is often tested, that doesn’t give you the right to be a straight-up a**hole…but for the general public, these a**hole moments lead to some prime viewing content. Lo and behold, the next airport meltdown gives the crazy “that mf’er is not real” lady a run for her money.
A Florida couple had a complete meltdown in the Charlette, North Carolina airport when American Airlines delayed their flight to Ft. Lauderdale. According to the New York Post, the couple accused the airline of keeping them from their pets… who were safe at home.
Now, I get it… pets are the equivalent of children for some people, but the pets were not even traveling with the couple. It’s not like the animals were being withheld in cargo while their flight was delayed.
The identified couple, 42-year-old Dustin Miller and his 40-year-old husband, Anthony Thorne, were filmed during their scene, which took a turn yelling at innocent bystanders.
“Hello, everybody! American Airlines f*ked us over!”
Miller yells towards the boarding area.
His partner Thorne grabs him, trying to calm him down, but Miller throws Throne’s grip. Thorne then tries to calm Miller by saying:
“Dustin. I’m not kidding. You don’t care about the girls? Shelby and Dobby. Shelby and Dobb. Remember them.”
I mean, just the most dramatic couple of all time. He sternly says to Miller, referring to their two dogs.
“I’m just trying to get home to the girls.”
While the couple is having their freakout, a woman seated in a wheelchair in the boarding area with her service dog asks them to have this argument elsewhere. While the simple request should have struck a chord, it added fuel to Miller’s fire, who points a finger at the woman and says:
“F*ck off, b*tch. F*ck off, b*tch!”
The meltdown goes from comical to nasty in a hurry as he is yelling in the woman’s face… and then the video cuts out. You can hear bystanders saying “whoa whoa whoa” as soon as she gets aggressive towards the woman in the wheelchair, and it sounds like someone else was stepping in to defuse the situation.
Talk about a stressful travel day turned even worse.
The video has since been removed from TikTok, but thanks to Twitter, the “airport meltdown of the year” lives on.
After the video went viral, a previous neighbor of the couple posted a lengthy backstory to how this pairing has caused more than one scene in their day… not exactly their first rodeo.
