Multiple members of Shania Twain‘s crew were hospitalized today following an accident while the Queen of Pop Country was on tour in her native Canada.
According to USA Today, the accident occurred while the crew was traveling between Winnipeg and Saskatoon, Canada, when a manager for Shania says that “multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather.”
It’s not known how many crew members required medical attention, but the statement says that those involved had been taken to nearby hospitals:
“Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals. We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support. We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”
Shania is current on her Queen of Me tour, and is scheduled to perform at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon on Thursday after a show in Winnipeg at the Canada Life Centre last night.
There’s no word yet on the condition of those hospitalized, or whether Thursday’s show will go on as scheduled.
Such a scary situation…prayers to all involved and hoping that their injuries are nothing serious.
