Somehow this wax figure simultaneously looks a lot like “The Rock” and not at all like “The Rock.”
The Grévin Museum in Paris recently unveiled their Dwayne Johnson wax figure, and much like a movie with “The Rock,” it’s been met with mixed reviews. A select few are saying they nailed some of the facial features, as well as his patented muscles, while pretty much everyone else can’t stop making jokes about it.
And let’s be honest…if you saw this wax figure and you had to guess what celebrity it was, we’d all probably go with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. You would definitely feel a little iffy about it, but who else could it be?
Some are saying it’s a fusion of Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, which I can most certainly see. Others are saying it’s closer to “Mr. Clean” than it is Dwayne, and I can also see that too. All in all, the figure is not the best wax celebrity I’ve ever seen, but it is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
Take a look:
The caption for this post should instead be “New wax figure of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at the Grévin Museum in Paris?” Just adding the question mark and making it interrogative seems to fit better than ending that caption with a definite period.
And as you might imagine, once the pictures of the Dwayne Johnson wax figure from Paris started emerging on the internet, social media users flooded the replies with ruthless, persistent, hilarious commentary:
that’s not the rock that’s a pebble

Maybe the Grévin Museum can start over? Or maybe they’ll keep the wax figure considering it’s got a lot of buzz around it right now and hope that people will come see Dwayne “The Meme” Johnson.
I’d like to see what Johnson himself thinks about this. We’ve seen in the past that he’s pretty particular about his wax figures, as you’ll see in the video below, so it’s probably safe to say that he would have some notes for this one that’s currently getting roasted on the internet.
Take a look at how he responded to his Madame Tussauds figure below:
