Travis Kelce is undeniably one of the best tight ends in the NFL.

The star for the Kansas City Chiefs is a two-time Super Bowl winner, has been selected for the Pro Bowl eight times, and he also holds the record for the most consecutive NFL seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end.

But these days, it seems all anybody wants to talk about is his relationship with Taylor Swift.

After Taylor appeared at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs (and her new boyfriend) take on the Chicago Bears two weeks ago, sales of Kelce’s jersey increased over 1200%, surpassing those of star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Kelce also gained hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

And last weekend’s Sunday Night Football game between the Chiefs and the Jets drew the highest ratings for an NFL game since the Super Bowl earlier this year, with an average of 27 million viewers.

So with the Chiefs taking on the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, one Minneapolis radio station decided to do some trolling of the new couple.

Ahead of the game, myTalk 107.1 debuted a billboard taking a shot at Kelce and the Chiefs:

“Beat Taylor’s boyfriend.”

Brutal. Imagine having the resume that Travis Kelce has under his belt, and only being known as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.

Of course the Chiefs and Kelce got the last laugh, beating the Vikings 27-20 on the backs of a team-leading 10 receptions and 67 yards from Kelce, including one touchdown, despite the fact that Kelce left the game in the second quarter after slipping on the turf and limping back to the locker room. He later returned to the game after halftime.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, for fans who are sick of hearing about it) Taylor skipped the game in Minnesota, so she didn’t get to see her boyfriend lead his team to their fourth straight win.
