Riley Green shared an acoustic cover of Chris Knight’s “Enough Rope,” which was the title track to Knight’s 2006 album and is an almost haunting, very candid track about life and how things don’t always work out the way you think they should.
Sometimes that’s good, and sometimes it’s bad… I think we’ve all been there before.
Riley shared the video calling the song “an old favorite,” and I love that he’s shining a spotlight on both an artist and song that maybe not a ton of his fans know very well:
“Glad to be home for a minute. Here’s y’all a little more of an old favorite.”

Riley’s forthcoming sophomore studio album Ain’t My Last Rodeo is actually due out everywhere here soon on October 13th, and while it doesn’t include a Chris Knight studio cover, it does include a cover of Tim McGraw’s “Damn Country Music,” in addition to a feature from Jelly Roll on “Copenhagen In A Cadillac.”
Some of the other 12-song on the tracklist include old fan-favorites like “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That No More” and “Ain’t Like I Can Hide It.”
