Moose Walking Right By National Park Bathroom Shows Just How Massive It Is

It’s easy to forget how large some of the animals that roam out in the wild are.

For must of us, we just see videos or pictures of bison and elk from time to time and assume that we realize how big they are comparative to things we interact with more regularly.

Just to give you an idea, fully grown bison weigh around 2,200 pounds, whereas a smaller car weighs in around 2,600 to 3,000 pounds.

Moose on the other hand can stand as tall as seven feet, meaning that the antlered animal could be at eye-level with former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal. I don’t know about you, but I use Shaq’s 7-foot height in a lot of examples and comparisons.

And this moose is all of that seven feet, considering that this one’s eyes and antlers are level with the roof of this national park bathroom.

I’ll give people the benefit of the doubt that it might not be an incredibly large man-made structure, but it still gives a point of reference to accentuate the moose’s size.

Bo Welden, who is a wildlife guide and consultant in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park, posted the clip onto his Instagram account with the caption:

“Common question from my guests include ‘how tall is the Grand Teton,’ ‘what kind of bear is 399,’ or the most common is by far ‘are there any bathrooms in the park for us to use?’

Turns out there are many bathrooms in both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks BUT you might have to wait to get out of the car until a HUGE bull moose walks past first.

This was such a cool moment because you can see how tall moose are when they stand next to human-made objects.”

Yeah, I don’t know what I would do if I walked out of that crapper and came face to face with a gigantic moose. I’d probably have to go back in there… if you know what I’m saying.
