‘True Detective: Night Country’ Drops Second Trailer

True Detective
HBO

I’ll admit, when it comes to upcoming TV shows, True Detective: Night Country is the one I’m anticipating the most.

Ever since Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson crushed season one of True Detective, I’ve been on the edge of my seat every time they release a new season. Granted, the 2nd season was confusing as all hell, despite that killer cast, but Season 3 righted the ship with Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff.

Night Country is the fourth instillation of the series, and stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, and will feature six episodes available to stream on HBO Max, according to Deadline.

On top of that, we have a new premiere date as well, as it’s slated to drop on January 14th of next year. The date is later than what was initially believed due to the ongoing writers strike.

The storyline for the show reads:

“When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace.

To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

This is the second official trailer for Night Country, as the first was released back in early April.

Needless to say, this oughta be a good one.
