When it comes to the state of New Mexico, college football has not been much to brag about.

Both major colleges in the state, New Mexico and New Mexico State, are typically bottom feeders year in and year out in the sport.

And needless to say, things aren’t going too hot for either program this year, as New Mexico State is 2-3 so far this season, and New Mexico is 2-2 (although both schools are ahead of schedule with two wins a piece).

However, this doesn’t mean that the two schools aren’t bitter rivals when they face off against each other.

With that being said, New Mexico State quarterback Diego Pavia may have taken the rivalry a bit too far with this one.

The two schools faced each other two Saturdays ago, with New Mexico State ultimately defeating New Mexico 27-17.

But, a video has leaked of some rather strange actions from Pavia before the game…

And by strange, I mean the guy appears to be straight up taking an actual piss on the New Mexico logo in the school’s indoor practice facility.

It’s hard to tell by the video if Pavia was actually taking a piss on the logo, but it sure does look like it.

According to KOB4, both schools are investigating the incident.

A University of New Mexico spokesperson said in a statement:

“We are aware of the video and notified NMSU Athletic Administration of its existence on Monday morning.”

A New Mexico State spokesperson also said:

“Any information regarding the potential discipline of a student would be protected under federal privacy laws.”

Needless to say, it isn’t a good look for Pavia, or the New Mexico State football program in general.
