Dolly Parton and NFL football is absolutely the crossover I need.

Last night, her cover of Bob Seger’s 1976 hit “Night Moves” was featured on ESPN’s Monday Night Football doubleheader broadcast which included the Cincinnati Bengals getting a win against the Los Angeles Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles putting a beatdown on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dolly’s full version of “Night Moves” is actually a duet with the great Chris Stapleton and will be featured on her forthcoming rock and roll album Rockstar.

It’s the first of several more songs from the tracklist that will be on Monday Night Football in the coming weeks, which also includes a preview in Week 6 (October 16th) of “Heartbreaker,” featuring Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo. “Magic Man” and “Rockstar” will also be featured on different weeks ahead of release day.

Dolly told ESPN that she is excited to be part of the iconic ESPN broadcast and for fans to get to hear some of the new tracks on her forthcoming record:

“I am excited for ESPN to spotlight songs from my new ‘Rockstar’ album.

When I decided to do a full-blown rock album after they put me in the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame, I thought it would be fun to call the album ‘Rockstar.’

The athletes who give their all everyday are most definitely rock stars, and I love that these songs will be a small part of celebrating their achievements.”

You listen to a clip of it here… I can’t wait to hear the full thing with Chris because it’s one of my favorite songs and those two are a power duo if I’ve ever seen one:

Dolly’s Rockstar is due out everywhere here pretty soon on November 17th, and features an absolutely all-star cast full of rock icons and legends on a good majority of the songs.

She’s already put out several really cool singles and collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, from “Magic Man (Carl Version) ft. Ann Wilson,” ‘“Bygones ft. Rob Halford with special guests Nikki Sixx & John 5,” and a mashup Queen’s multi-Platinum mega hits “We Are The Champions” and “We Will Rock You.”

She even got The Beatles back together… enough said.

And speaking of Monday Night Football, Chris Stapleton will be appearing ahead of the broadcast every single week this year, as he’s the voice of the new theme song alongside Snoop Dogg, a reimagined version of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” with  drummer Cindy Blackman Santana.

It premiered last week, and I absolutely love seeing some of my favorite country artists taking over ESPN’s NFL football broadcasts like this.

If you haven’t checked out the new theme song yet, you definitely should… it’s pretty badass:
