This is such a kickass duo.

Lukas Nelson and Sierra Ferrell teamed up for two stunning performances over the weekend at FreshGrass Festival in North Adams, Massachusetts that I cannot get enough of.

They did a beautiful cover of Linda Ronstadt’s “High Sierra,” which first featured on her 1995 Feels Like Home album, and later on the collaborative Trio II record she made with Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton, and also performed Lukas’ original song “Find Yourself” with his band POTR.

In my very humble opinion, Sierra and Lukas are two of the most underrated vocalists in the genre, and both have an almost vintage-sounding tone to their voices that is complete magic when combined and blend perfectly.

I love hearing Sierra take lead vocals on “High Sierra” (a very fitting choice, might I add), and I want so much more music from the two of them as a duo.

It’s simply an impeccable cover and they certainly did Linda, Dolly and Emmylou very proud if I may say so myself:

And Sierra came back out for the end of Lukas & POTR’s headlining set for an epic nine-minute rendition of Lukas’ original song “Find Yourself,” which featured Lady Gaga on the original studio cut on the band’s 2017 self-titled record.

They let it rip and I can only imagine how much fun it was to witness in person… do yourself a favor and check it out:
