Stephen A. Smith Is Never Getting Married After Seeing How Much Kevin Costner Has To Pay In Divorce: “Y’all Ain’t Together”

If anyone out there was waiting for Stephen A. Smith’s thoughts on the Kevin Costner divorce saga, they would be happy to know that the most charismatic personality in all of sports just chimed in.

As you already know, Stephen A. Smith is on a mission to provide content in every hour of the day, and he’s doing quite well at it. When he isn’t trying to keep his co-hosts in check on ESPN’s wildly successful First Take, he’s talking into a microphone somewhere else.

One of those additional ventures is The Stephen A. Smith Show, which is actually separate from the “world wide leader in sports” and allows for Smith to cover topics that he normally wouldn’t cover on ESPN.

On today’s episode, Stephen A. was talking about how he is still a bachelor at 55-years-old, and why he has chosen to live the single life. Smith stated:

“I’m 55 years old. I’ve never been married, and I’m happy about it. Now one could easily surmise that a past rife with some degree of promiscuity might, dare I say, contribute to my desire to be single.

But that is not the reason. I am not upset about being single…”

Smith then talks about popular hip hop artist Jeezy getting a divorce from his wife of two years, and how many people are speculating that she is now just going after his money following the split.

He then finally “entered the chat” on Kevin Costner’s messy divorce, which has continued to make headlines until the couple finally settled their split this past week. One of the big points of contention was the amount of money that Christine was wanting per month for “child support,” which was just short of $250,000.

Costner ended up only having to pay her $129,000 a month, which is still a large amount of money, and something that Stephen A. Smith was getting hung up on:

“If Kevin Costner’s monthly child support enables the children to maintain the quality of life he once provided, why should he have to pay extra so the wife that he’s no longer with gets to maintain her quality of life?

Y’all ain’t together!”

I’ve got a feeling that Kevin Costner might reach out to Stephen A. Smith and see if he wants to become friends after having his back like that.

Maybe if they do meet up, Costner can warn him about the potential dangers of marriage and divorce, though it seems Smith is already pretty informed on the matter.
