When I was 11-years-old, I was just trying to win the Super Bowl in Madden ’08, pass Social Studies, and break 100 on the golf course.

But this 11-year-old?

He’s catching absolute monsters.

According to 9News, Jakim Azzopardi was fishing near Cape Otway, Australia back on July 3rd with his father Matthew and their friend Phillip Pirotta, and needless to say, it turned into a trip he’ll never forget…

Because he caught a mind boggling 257-pound bluefin tuna.

Pirotta shared how it all went down in a Facebook post:

“How good is this! Fished with these two legends yesterday Matthew Azzopardi and his 11 year old son Jakim. We didn’t hit the water till 8:30am, put the lures out and within 5 minutes we were tight! Matt was on the rod but unfortunately pulling the hooks after 30min.

Put the lures back out and after 40min we were tight once again! This time it was young Jakim’s turn on the rod and all I can say is what a machine!!

Jakim fought the fish completely on his own from start to finish for one hour on 24kg stand up before putting his fish on the deck, he had never been in a harness before and was impressive to watch.

Jakim’s fish pulled the scales down to a very impressive 116.5kg!!! The fish took a bronze exocet in Paris colour. I’m sure that’s one he’s not going to forget for a long time!”

Jakim expressed his excitement about the catch to the outlet:

“When it came in, it was… bigger than me. It was so tall. I am still sore in my arms, and I have told my good friend, and he was amazed.”

I’d say a little soreness was worth a catch this sweet.
