The New York Jets Are Reportedly Going To Be Forced To Appear On This Season Of ‘Hard Knocks’

Looks like Aaron Rodgers isn’t the only new excitement coming to the New York Jets.

According to NBC Sports, the New York Jets will be the latest team to be featured on the beloved NFL preseason reality show Hard Knocks.

This news comes after head coach Robert Saleh initially said that he and his team had no interest in being featured on the show for the 2023 season.

However, the Jets were one of only four teams eligible to partake in the show, as the league’s criteria only includes teams without a first year head coach, teams that haven’t been to the playoffs in the last two years, and teams that haven’t been on the show in the past 10 years.

And of those four teams, nobody wanted it.

The Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints were the other teams eligible, as were the Washington Commanders, and they were more open to a partnership with the show, but wanted to wait until their pending ownership change was complete.

Hard Knocks also reached out to the Detroit Lions to partner for the second season in a row, but were turned down as well.

However, Hard Knocks doesn’t have to have a willing suitor as the NFL can compel a team fitting the criteria to participate, and it looks like that is going to be the New York Jets this year.

I think the Jets were the best possible team for a partnership, considering the polarizing Aaron Rodgers is taking over as quarterback. On top of that, he’s battling former first round draft pick Zach Wilson who has started for the Jets the past two seasons.

On top of that, there are several other characters on the team as well, such as cornerback Sauce Gardner, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and running back Breece Hall.

Get ready, this season is gonna be a great one.
