Mike and the Moonpies have a new single coming to a country radio station near you.

The band just announced that they’re officially sending “Rainy Day” to country radio as a single, which comes from their 2021 One to Grow On album.

Last October, they sent “Hour on the Hour” to country radio as a single, and even though, in all likelihood this next one won’t become a #1 hit either (unfortunately), it’s still pretty damn cool to see independent acts from outside of Nashville getting into the game and going toe to toe with major label artists and vying for radio play alongside them:

“The final radio single from our album ‘One to Grow On’ just got sent out to a station near you – this one’s called ‘Rainy Day.’

Reach out to your favorite radio DJ and let them know you want to hear it! Watch the entire video on our YouTube. Getting ready for the acoustic tour this July!”

They also dropped a new acoustic video of frontman Mike Harmeier playing a beautiful acoustic rendition of “Rainy Day.”

And like they said, go request it, listen to it, stream the hell out of it, and hopefully, you’ll be hearing it on a station near you here pretty soon:

Mike and steel guitar player Zach Moulton also just started an eight-show acoustic run titled The Solo & Steel Tour: A Night With Mike And Zach, that kicked off last night and continues in Lubbock, Texas this evening.
