Yellowstone’s Piper Perabo (Summer Higgins) Discusses The Series End, Says Matthew McConaughey Better Be Good On A Horse

Piper Perabo Yellowstone

Now that we know Yellowstone will officially be coming to an end after the second half of season five, we’re all curious on how the show will conclude.

Will John Dutton (Kevin Costner) get his “ride off into the sunset” moment? Or will he be killed off relatively early now that we know Costner will be calling it quits with the Yellowstone saga after the conclusion of season five.

Will Sarah Atwood and Market Equities be able to manipulate Jamie enough for him to put an end to his own family once and for all?

We don’t know what the future holds, but we have one Yellowstone star who recently sat down to discuss what she expects for the rest of the show.

Piper Perabo, who plays activist Summer Higgins, recently sat down with ET, where she addressed the current writers’ strike, and how she has “no clue” how the show will end:

I know Taylor Sheridan was writing before the strike was happening and one of the fun things about working on a Sheridan show is that you really don’t know what’s gonna happen.

I have no idea what’s happening next and the whole thing left off on this cliffhanger, so I’m waiting myself.

If it were up to me, I would want it to keep going, but I know that Taylor is writing the prequels and he has all these things that he’s doing and he wants to expand the whole thing, so even though Yellowstone might be ending, there may be so many more things to come.”

She also discussed how she thinks Matthew McConaughey will be a good fit for the Yellowstone saga, as he’s set to star in the show’s latest spinoff series:

“He lives in Texas, he understands the cowboy lifestyle. This is what I gotta say, he better be a good rider because Taylor Sheridan is a great cowboy.

But if you don’t know how to ride, I don’t know if cowboy schools gonna get you up to Yellowstone level. You better come in with some experience.”

She also added that she’s hoping her character gets to move to Texas:

“I don’t  know if we start the next and they’re coming back from Texas. I don’t know if we’re all gonna go to Texas.

I also don’t want to imagine a life for Summer in the winter in Montana. She’s on house arrest so I hope John comes home or gets her sentence commuted to Texas.”

We’ll see…
